WHY SHOULD WE GET INVOLVED?

God has faithfully provided His presence and leadership in the development of the Covenant Marriage Movement. During the initial meeting on Tuesday, February 23, 1999 in Dallas, Texas we prayed that God would continue to draw ministries and organizations, such as yours, into this movement. On that day we united hearts and hands in cooperation to raise the banner of Covenant Marriage. Since that day, God has added to our numbers 60+ Cooperating Ministries and Organizations who have seen the value of joining together, though remaining separate, to under gird God's design for marriage as a covenant relationship.

We hasten to say that the Covenant Marriage Movement is larger than any one of our ministries or organizations and God continues to honor our obedience to Him as we cooperate together in the movement to uplift marriage as a covenant relationship throughout our nation and around the world.

HOW IS THE COVENANT MARRIAGE MOVEMENT STRUCTURED?

The Covenant Marriage Movement (CMM) has a Board of Directors consisting of representatives from 10 of the Cooperating Ministries and has been commissioned to:

• Provide leadership for the movement;

• Monitor the progress of the Ministry Plan for the CMM;

• Maintain the purity of the Covenant Marriage Statement, the use of the Covenant Marriage Movement logo, and the CMM itself;

• Continue developing and strengthening the support base of Christian denominations, organizations, and ministries; and,

• Serve as an evaluation team for those who desire to become affiliated with the CMM.

WHO ARE THE OFFICIAL SPOKESPERSONS FOR THE CMM?

Phil & Cindy Waugh as the Executive Directors for the Covenant Marriage Movement, oversee the daily administration of the CMM office, and serve as contact persons and official spokespersons for the CMM. However, in addition to Phil & Cindy, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Tim Clinton serves as an official spokesperson for the CMM.

WHERE IS YOUR OFFICE LOCATED?

The Covenant Marriage Movement office is located in Franklin, Tennessee and serves as the clearinghouse for all official materials and resources produced on behalf of the CMM.
